■Decorative silver plating
The original color tone of silver has been respected and it has been utilized for general accessories in the same way as gold.
Even today, the glossy silver plating is used for accessories, table wares, buttons, trophy, medal and instruments etc. If the brass instruments such as flute are plated, the tone quality is improved and if western table wares are silver-plated, the microorganism and the bacteria in moisture is sterilized and it is extremely good for health. The invisible advantages of the silver plating are not known by general consumers unexpectedly.

Silver plating for industrial use
It is the plating technique necessary for electronics industry in the same way as gold plating.It is not much expensive than gold plating and the electric conductivity is the best in metals, so it is used in an extremely wide range of fields.
There are two types of silver plating; the glossy plating for connectors, terminals and switches and the highly-pure no-gloss plating for transistor stems and IC lead frames.
The silver plating also has JIS standard on film thickness and types in the same way as that of gold plating. The specifications of hardness, adhesion, corrosion resistance and solder leakage property are same as those of gold plating. The silver plating easily generates the sulfuration change in color, so the treatment for preventing the change in color is implemented after the plating, however, the prevention of change in color by oil coating may not damage the characteristics of silver plating than that of chromate treatment for the electric contact-related part. The silver plating is also used as the solid lubricant film utilizing the body or the lubricating ability other plating does not have.
